Odum Conference 2009 Lodging Information

**In order to make the Odum Conference available to potential participants from agencies and institutions who now have severe financial constraints due to the economic circumstances, we have arranged for new, reduced fee conference packages, now listed on the Registration Form, as well as low-cost student housing at the E. N. Huyck Preserve & Biological Research Station. **

Some of the conference packages include lodging and meals at the Rensselaerville Institute Meeting Center, site of the conference.

Low-cost student housing

As a low-cost option, students can stay in bunkhouse-style shared rooms at two pondside cottages at the E. N. Huyck Preserve & Biological Research Station for $10.00/night. Each cottage has several rooms, with several bunkbeds or several mattresses on the floor per room. Some of the rooms are not heated, and no bedding is provided, so make sure to bring a warm sleeping bag. In addition to the sleeping areas, there are shared bathrooms as well as kitchen and dining areas. The Preserve, site of Odum's early work, is adjacent to the Rensselaerville Meeting Center.

To reserve a bed at one of these cottages, or if you have any questions, call Carolyn Barker, at the E.N. Huyck Preserve & Biological Research Station, at 518-797-3440 or e-mail her at huyckpreserve@gmail.com.

As soon as you reserve a bed, you must also register for one of the conference packages that does not include lodging at the Rensselaerville Meeting Center, by completing and submitting the Registration Form.
