Poster Presentations

In addition to talks, panel discussions, and workshops, the conference will include a poster session featuring work addressing one or more of the following themes:

  • Theme A: Invasive species management activities that incorporate a dynamic aspect (e.g., climate change, natural enemy acquisition, interactions of multiple invasive species);
  • Theme B: Basic research on dynamic aspects of invasions;
  • Theme C: Invasive species monitoring and database initiatives;
  • Theme D: Collaborative undertakings between invasive species ecologists and managers.

Click on the Themes above to browse abstracts of posters to be presented at the 2009 Odum Conference.

Complete, printer-friendly version of abstracts are available here.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

The poster session provides an opportunity for discussion in a relaxed setting. Presenting authors should post their poster at least ½ hour before the Poster session and mixer on Thursday evening.

Posters will be displayed on walls and free-standing easels (backboards provided). Preferred poster size is 30 x 40 inches to fit on easel backboards. Posters with abstracts submitted by the March 31 deadline may be as large as 4 feet x 5 feet and will be displayed on the walls. We will provide materials (tacks, tape) to hang the posters.
